The purpose of this study was to explore the correlation between body weight and main body size indicators of 12-month-old shorthorn , construct multiple regression equation, and study the main body size indicators and month age affecting shorthorn . The body size data of 424 shorhorn , including 163 bulls and 261 cows at 12 months of age, including body weight, body height, cross height, body oblique length and chest circumference, were selected to construct multiple regression equation and analyze their correlation. The results showed that body weight was correlated with body height, cross height, oblique length and chest circumference of 12-month old short-horn bulls, and the correlation between body weight and chest circumference was the largest (r=0.902). Body weight was positively correlated with body height, cross height, body oblique length and chest girth, and the correlation with chest girth was the highest (r=0.823). The body weight of 12-month-old shorthorn was positively correlated with body height, cross height, body oblique length and chest girth, and the correlation with chest girth was the largest (r=0.873). According to the correlation coefficient r of the constructed multiple regression equation, there is a strong regression relationship between body weight and body size of 12-month-old shorthorn , and the correlation between body height, cross height, body diagonal length and chest circumference of bulls and body weight is higher than that of cows. |
