| In order to explore the influence of breed and seasonal factors on semen quality of bull in Xinjiang,from 2021 to 2023,the semen data of Simmental cattle,Japanese Wagyu cattle,Black Angus cattle,Xinjiang Brown cattle,Charolais cattle,Holstein cattle,and Jersey cattle at a certain bull station in Xinjiang were collected.The one way analysis of variance was used to compare and analyze the differences in the semen quality of bulls among different cattle breeds and different seasons (winter spring and summer autumn).The results showed that the overall semen quality of Xinjiang Brown cattle and Simmental cattle was superior to that of other cattle breeds.Sperm motility and frozen semen production were optimal,and the semen volume and the sperm density were also maintained at a relatively good level.The semen volu me,sperm motility,sperm density,and frozen semen production of Simmental cattle were all significantly affected by the season (P＜0.01),while for Xinjiang Brown cattle,only sperm motility and frozen semen production were significantly affected by the
season (P＜0.01).In conclusion,the semen quality and the stability of semen production throughout the year of Xinjiang Brown cattle are better. |
