Abstract: Cow rumen bloating is a common disease in ruminants, mainly caused by the intake of a large amount of easily fermentable feed, which leads to the production of a large amount of gas in the rumen that cannot be expelled in a timely manner, resulting in rumen swelling. If not treated in time, excessive rumen swelling can cause the diaphragm to move forward, leading to respiratory and circulatory disorders, difficulty breathing, increased heart rate, suffocation or cardiac paralysis, and in severe cases, cattle death, causing significant economic losses to farmers. Based on years of clinical experience, the author elaborates on the clinical, treatment, and preventive measures of this disease to provide practical technical guidance for farmers to understand its prevention and treatment methods. |
