      Genetics is a discipline that studies the structure, function and variation, transmission and expression of genes. Animal Genetics, as an important branch of animal Genetics, is a professional basic course of animal science and animal medicine. Under the background of promoting the construction of high-quality education system during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, animal genetics, as the core course of animal genetics and breeding in agricultural and forestry colleges, is crucial for the comprehensive improvement of its teaching quality to promote the high-quality development of first-class disciplines. To achieve this goal, the key lies in the deep reform and exploration of the teaching methods of animal genetics.
