Abstract: [Objective] This experiment was conducted to compare the daily gain, feed to gain ratio and weight gain cost of Simmental beef cattle fattening with different types of feed, in order to obtain more practical and feasible fattening feed for local beef cattle. [Method] The experiment was divided into three groups: experimental group I, which was the traditional feed of local cattle farmers in Yuyang District. Experimental group II, dry corn straw as the main roughage+concentrate supplement. Experimental group III, corn silage was the main roughage+concentrate supplement. [Result] The results were as follows: the daily gain of group I, group II and group III was 1.24±0.26kg, 1.26±0.14kg and 1.32±0.19kg, respectively, group I > group II > group III, and there was no significant difference among the three groups (P>0.05). The ratio of feed to gain was 7.53, 7.46 and 6.99, respectively, and group I > group II > group III. The cost of weight gain was 17.17 yuan·kg-1, 18.28 yuan·kg-1 and 19.42 yuan·kg-1, respectively, in group III > group II > group I. [Concusion] The results showed that: ① The weight gain efficiency of silage diet group (group III) was the highest, ② The cost of traditional diet group (group I) was the lowest. |
