      斯钙素2是斯钙素家族成员之一,最早在鱼上发现,参与鱼体内钙磷平衡的调节。广泛表达于机体的多种组织器官,是一种参与多种生物过程的糖蛋白激素和调节恶性肿瘤进展的分泌蛋白。STC2是一种新的潜在的肿瘤标记的生物分子,且在家畜妊娠、骨骼与体型大小方面等方面也起重要作用。本文主要综述了STC2基因和蛋白的发现、分子结构、及其在动物生理、病理、妊娠、生长等方面的作用,并展望了在我国黄牛育种方面应用的可能性。
英文摘要:
      Stanniocalcin 2 is a member of the stanniocalcin family first discovered in fish in which it is invoved in the regulation of calcium and phosphorus homeostasis. STC2 is widely expressed in various tisseus and also it involve in various biological processes as a glycoprotein hormone and as a secreted protein that regulates the progression of malignant tumors. STC2 is a new potential tumor marker biomolecule, and it also plays an important role in pregnancy, bone and body size in livestock. In this article, the discovery, molecular structure of STC2 gene and protein, and its role in animal physiology, pathology, pregnancy, growth, etc. were mainly reviewed. and the possibility of its application in cattle breeding in my country was prospected.
