      Abstract: Simmental cattle (Simmental) originated from the Alps of western Switzerland, mainly from Simmental plain and saneng plain. It is a large breed of milk, meat and service. At present, many countries in the world have introduced Simmental cattle in their own breeding and breeding, and bred their own Simmental cattle, and named after the country''s name. This paper mainly introduced the research progress of Simmental cattle breeding, fattening and slaughter performance in recent years, in order to provide reference for speeding up the breeding of Simmental cattle.
