【Objective】The aim of this study was to investigate the infection of intestinal parasites in Yunling cattle for providing effective control measurements.【Methods】382 fresh feces samples were collected from Nucleus Herd on Xiaoshao Farm and Jinda Muye Multiplier Herd in Chuxiong city to investigate the parasite infection by the saturated salt water floating method and natural precipitation method .【Result】89 samples were detected to infect parasite, with an average infection rate of 23.30%. Nematode, coccidia and fluke were detected, with an infection rate of 17.28%, 7.07%, and 0.26%, respectively; the mixed infection rate was 1.31%. There was a parasite infection rate of 31.25% in Yunling Nucleus Herd, 15.26% in Jinda Muye Multiplier Herd, 19.59% in penning and 36.05% in freely grazing for Yunling cattle. There were significant differences from parasite infections in the different farms and feeding system (P<0.01), but there was no significant difference from the different genders and ages in Yunling cattle (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】The results showed that the parasitic nematode infection in Yunling cattle was serious. Therefore, some comprehensive prevention and control measurements should be strengthened to promote further healthy and sustainable development for beef industry.
