      The effects of the natural conditions and social factors on the formation of the Pingliang Red were analyzed.It fully explained Pingliang Red is an outstanding cattle population which has been selected and improved for a long period of time.Through explanation of the performance and current situation of Pingling Red,the advantages and problems need to be solved were pointed,then the development direction and corresponding measures were put forward.
