      According to the current situation and characteristics of yellow cattle improvement in Gansu province,problems in yellow cattle improvement and breeding,especially necessity and feasibility of beef breeding in Western Yellow River Area in Gansu provinece,how to select and breed beef cattle,how to push the sustainable development of beef industry were fully analyzed and Finally some countermeasures were put forward.
