      天祝白牦牛的繁活率一直出于较低状态,约50%左右,是制约天祝白牦牛产业发展的制约因素之一.为此,笔者就其成因进行了广泛深入的调查分析,结果显示:繁活率低并不是天祝白牦牛固有特性,严酷的自然环境、粗放的饲养管理、过度挤奶、饲料短缺等是造成繁活率低的主要因素;可以通过加强饲养管理和基础设施建设等措施提高天祝白牦牛的繁活率.
