| In a large-scale cattle farm in Kunming, multiple calves died acutely due to diarrhea. A total of 20 diarrhea samples and pathological materials were collected from 8 calves, and PCR technology was used to detect four viral pathogens: Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV), Bovine Rotavirus (BRV), Bovine Coronavirus (BCoV), and Bovine Enterovirus (BEV), so as to analyze the mixed infection status of these four pathogens in the calves. The results showed that the detection rate of Bovine Coronavirus (BCoV) was 75%, the detection rate of Bovine Rotavirus (BRV) was 50%, and the rate of mixed infection with both Bovine Coronavirus (BCoV) and Bovine Rotavirus (BRV) was 50%. This indicated that the diarrhea was caused by single infections of Bovine Coronavirus (BCoV) and Bovine Rotavirus (BRV), as well as their mixed infection. Finally, the causes and preventive measures of bovine viral diarrhea were briefly introduced. |
